Ava Beal Brings Left-Handed Spark and Versatility to UAlbany’s Outfield
Ava Beal has been a useful, high-energy piece for UAlbany in the 2026 season, appearing in 35 games with 14 starts and flashing enough bat-to-ball ability to post a .286 average with 4 hits and 6 runs according to D1Softball. The biggest separator: she’s a left-handed hitter with multi-role background and a scrappy, athletic profile that gives a staff lineup flexibility and reliable depth. She also earned 2025 America East Rookie of the Week honors, which suggests a player trending upward rather than just filling innings.
