7-Foot Serbian Anchor Ristic Delivers Career-Best Efficiency and Clutch Wins for Arizona
Dušan Ristic, a 7-foot-0, 240-pound center from Serbia, is Arizona's most efficient scorer (61.5% FG in 2017-18) and a relentless clutch performer who posted a career-high 23 points to seal a 74-73 win over Utah, including seven straight points in the final two minutes. His differentiators include elite rim protection, a 1,001-point career total (52nd all-time at Arizona), and a calm, high-intensity personality that elevates team morale in tight games. While averaging modest 3.4 PPG and 2.1 RPG in limited 8.6-minute roles, his 56.5% career FG% and double-double capability (e.g., vs. USC) make him a perfect low-maintenance, high-impact fit for teams needing a reliable backup center with international experience and no significant injury history.
