Brandon Maclin brings two-way toughness and steady guard play to DePaul
In the 2025-26 season, Maclin has been a reliable all-around DePaul guard, averaging 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game while leading the Blue Demons’ guards in shooting percentage at 43.9%.[13][3] His differentiators are his defensive disruption, ability to rebound for a guard, and balanced playmaking—plus he has shown he can spike for big scoring nights, including a 21-point outing at Creighton.[13] The downside is that his three-point shot remains a swing skill at 30.6%, so he fits best as a high-motor connector who can defend, handle, and make winning plays rather than a pure perimeter scorer.[13][2]
