Cooper Jones brings strikeout pedigree and two-way production to ETSU
Jones arrives at East Tennessee State with a strong high-school résumé built on run prevention and bat-missing ability, striking out 136 hitters over 73.1 innings in his final two prep seasons while also hitting over .350 and earning all-district honors in both years. He profiles as a competitive right-hander with a live arm and enough athleticism to add value beyond the mound, which makes him interesting for a staff looking for upside rather than just polish. The key question is how quickly his stuff and command translate against higher-level hitters.
