Micah Simpson brings two-way upside and polished competitiveness to UNCW
Micah Simpson is a left-handed two-way threat for UNC Wilmington, listed at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, and his profile screams versatility with real upside. In his 2025 season, he posted a 13-1 record with a 2.22 ERA, struck out 73, walked 16, and held a 1.03 WHIP, while also flashing real bat-to-ball ability with a .359 career average and 105 RBIs in his high school résumé. The big differentiator: he’s not just a pitcher or just a hitter—he’s a high-IQ competitor with proven strike-throwing, run production, and enough athleticism to help in multiple roles.
