Isaac Sturgess brings lefty pop, speed, and lineup flexibility to Michigan State
In the 2026 season, Sturgess was one of Michigan State’s most productive bats, hitting .318 with 61 hits, 42 runs, 15 doubles, 4 home runs, and 55 RBI while starting 48 games across center field, right field, DH, and first base.[3][5] He’s a left-handed, 6-foot-3, 185-pound sophomore from Davison, Michigan, and his value goes beyond the box score: he earned Academic All-District honors, owns a strong work ethic reputation, and has also been active in summer baseball with Cotuit in the Cape Cod League.[1][2][3]
