Will Couchman brings pop, clutch DNA, and veteran steadiness to NIU’s infield
Will Couchman is a senior infielder for Northern Illinois who showed real middle-of-the-order value in the 2026 season, hitting .242 with 4 home runs and 21 RBI in 33 games, after posting a stronger .295/.402/.491 line in 2025. He stands out for power, timely hitting, and big-moment poise: NIU notes a career-high five RBI game in April 2026 and a walk-off home run in 2025, which screams “trust this guy when the game gets weird.” Add the Academic All-MAC recognition and he looks like a dependable, high-motor fit for teams wanting experienced production and leadership.
