power arm, big-game pedigree, and still rounding back into form at USI
Jai Jensen enters the 2026 season as a 6-foot-3, 225-pound right-hander with a reputation for filling the zone without much hard contact, plus a history of handling big innings and pressure. USI’s staff praised him as a competitor and noted he was expected to be back to 100% after a back injury and 2025 redshirt season; in 2026, he appeared in seven games and logged 4.1 innings, striking out four with a 12.46 ERA and 2.77 WHIP. He also brings legit pedigree from DMACC, where he struck out 44 batters in 39.2 innings and earned all-conference honors in 2023.
