Big-body Buckeye with wrestler’s burst, but still an unfinished interior piece
In the 2025 season, Maxwell Roy arrived at Ohio State as a 6-3, 301-pound four-star defensive tackle and former All-American wrestler, giving him a rare blend of leverage, hand-fighting skill, quickness, and power that scouts liked. He was ranked No. 357 overall and No. 36 among defensive linemen in the 2025 class, but he did not record a defensive snap for the Buckeyes and later entered the transfer portal after one season. Why care? The upside is real; the on-field proof is not yet there.
