In the 2026 season, Steven Cavaco’s freshman year at Ohio State was defined by steady defense and a rough bat: he appeared in 15 games, made 12 starts, and posted a .130 average in 46 at-bats, but he handled first base cleanly with 98 putouts and a perfect fielding percentage.
