Patrick Ilitch brings real pop, catcher value, and a polished bat to Villanova
In the 2025 season, Patrick Ilitch showed an impact bat at Valparaiso, hitting .291 in Missouri Valley play with a .936 OPS, 10 doubles, and 6 home runs across 35 games and 32 starts; he also earned MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team honors. He stands out for two-way defensive flexibility as a catcher/outfielder, with reported catching tools that include a sub-2.10 pop time and a hard-contact profile. For a team, the appeal is clear: middle-of-the-order upside, lineup length, and a player with competitive consistency and academic polish.
