Jake Dorety is Rider’s high-leverage, strike-throwing junior arm
Jake Dorety has been a steady bullpen weapon for Rider in the 2026 season, posting a 1-1 record with 5.67 ERA across 27.0 innings and even earning a save; he’s the kind of pitcher coaches trust in traffic. The differentiator is poise: Rider’s own game notes show him escaping a two-on, one-out jam with back-to-back strikeouts in a MAAC-clinching win, which says a lot about his competitiveness and nerves. He’s not a flashy overpowering ace, but he brings bullpen flexibility, strikeout ability, and the vibe of a guy you’d want on the mound when the game gets weird.
