Lonnie Burt brings versatile, downhill linebacker upside to Portland State
Burt looks like a physical, multi-level defender with real playmaking background: in 2025 for Portland State he finished with 37 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss, and he flashed even more disruptive ability at Coffeyville in 2024 with 44 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, a sack, an interception, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.[3][7] Before college, he was an elite two-way high school player who rushed for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns while also starring on defense, which hints at uncommon athleticism and toughness.[3]
