Trey Weems brings veteran edge and disruptive size to Gardner-Webb’s front
In the 2025 season, Gardner-Webb senior DL Trey Weems has been a steady rotational defender, recording 13 total tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 pass breakup while showing up in multiple game logs as an active, assignment-sound presence. At 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds, he brings compact leverage, physicality, and enough versatility to help in run fits without giving up effort or intensity. His profile screams reliable trench worker: not flashy, but trustworthy, tough, and useful if you want a low-drama, high-motor defensive line fit.
