LMU’s durable right-hander with swing-and-miss upside and plenty of innings-eating grit
In the 2026 season, Behrens has been LMU’s workhorse starter, logging 68.0 innings with a 7.68 ERA, 58 strikeouts, and 15 walks while taking the ball in high-leverage conference matchups. He’s a big-bodied 6-foot-3 righty with a starter’s frame, and his best trait is durability: he has shown he can work deep enough to stabilize a rotation. The pitch profile looks more competitive than flashy, but he’s had outings with real bite, including a 7.0-inning, 5-strikeout win over Davidson. For a staff needing toughness and innings, he’s worth a look; for pure polish, the command and run prevention need more tightening.
