Kayla Fekel is a comeback-minded NC State arm with real poise and academic polish
Kayla Fekel is a redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher for NC State whose game is built on resilience, control, and competitiveness: after missing the 2025 season due to injury, she returned in 2026 and posted a 3.60 ERA in 11.2 innings, with one shutout and five strikeouts, while also earning Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors in 2026. In the 2024 season, she logged 31.0 innings with a 5.81 ERA and 22 strikeouts, showing enough early-morning-staff grit to matter if you value a pitcher who can battle, rebound, and bring steady depth.
