Navy’s Henry Mitchell: steady glove, gap power, and a résumé that keeps trending up
In the 2026 season, Henry Mitchell has been a reliable Navy infielder who brings contact skill, extra-base pop, and enough versatility to stay in the mix every day. Navy’s roster notes say he made an immediate impact with an RBI double for his first collegiate hit in his debut, and his 2026 stat line shows a .269 average with an .883 OPS, 12-for-12 in steals, and 16 stolen bases on the roster page; earlier seasons show he earned Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors in 2023 after a .556 week and has long been praised for clean hands, good footwork, and gap-to-gap hitting. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a high-energy, gritty middle-infield bat with some sneaky upside.
