Henry Souza brings Cal Poly lefty pedigree with a deceptive, high-upside profile
A redshirt freshman left-hander at Cal Poly, Henry Souza stands out more for feel and projection than headline numbers right now: he arrives with a strong high-school track record in the 2024 season (4-0, 1.96 ERA, 79 strikeouts in 117 2/3 innings) and summer-league flashes, including 22 strikeouts in 17 2/3 innings for West Coast Kings in 2025. The son of a former Cal Poly pitcher, he fits the classic Mustang mold—competitive, baseball-savvy, and likely to keep getting sharper as his frame and stuff mature.
