Buay Koka brings size, rim presence, and a steady defensive fit for Detroit Mercy
A 7-foot-1 center from South Sudan, Buay Koka is a classic long, physical interior piece who offers size, rebounding and shot-blocking upside more than scoring flash; in his most recent NCAA season, he averaged 1.5 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting 55.7% from the field, and earlier reports noted he earned academic honors while moving through Tulane and Detroit Mercy. He is the kind of low-usage big who can fit a team needing length, defensive depth, and a dependable locker-room presence rather than a high-usage offensive creator.
