Brady Hoover is Longwood’s steady freshman right-hander with poise and strike-throwing chops
In the 2026 season, Brady Hoover has been a workhorse for Longwood, logging 64.2 innings with a 5-5 record, 42 strikeouts, and just 14 walks, and he burst onto the scene with 6.0 scoreless innings and six strikeouts in his collegiate debut. His profile says “attack the zone,” but the real differentiator is composure: he’s already shown he can open games, pitch deep, and bounce back into high-leverage spots. At 6-foot-2 with a strong right-handed frame, he looks like a pitcher a staff can trust, even if the ERA suggests the next step is consistency.
