Mecailin Marshall is Tulane’s freshman bucket-getter with real upside
In the 2025-26 season, Mecailin Marshall was Tulane’s breakout freshman guard, earning American Conference Freshman of the Year honors after averaging 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 38.4% from the field and appearing in all 31 games with six starts. She flashed high-end scoring pop, including a career-high 34 points against East Carolina and a 19.5-point week that won her conference freshman of the week. Why care? She’s a tough, confident shot-maker who can carry scoring bursts and already looks like a future lead-guard weapon for a team that needs an aggressive, fearless perimeter creator.
