Kaiden Jones brings redshirted upside and proven linebacker instincts to Nicholls
Kaiden Jones is a 6-foot, 215-pound linebacker for Nicholls who entered college with real defensive versatility and was once described by his high school coach as a player who can handle every level of the defense. In the 2022 season, he was good enough to land on the Jerry Rice Award watch list and had 37 tackles with 2.5 tackles for loss before a preseason injury in 2023 led to a redshirt, so the big question is durability more than talent. If healthy, he looks like a physical, assignment-smart fit who can bring toughness and edge to a defense.
