Tall, Athletic TE with Upside in Texas State's Rising Offense
Sophomore Ty Stamey (6'6", 237 lbs) posted 7 catches for 61 yards in 2024 (redshirt freshman at UL, transferred to Texas State), showing reliable hands (79 catch rating in EA CFB 26) and elite stamina (91), jumping (82), and injury resistance (88) in a Bobcats squad that went 8-5.[1][2][3][6] Versatile from H-back to inline/flex experience, he's a high-motor developmental prospect with strong route-running and toughness—perfect fit for teams needing a big, durable blocker/receiver who stays healthy and grows into a mismatch weapon.[3][5][6]
