Pepperdine’s 6-foot-5 RHP Kam Croghan flashes upside, but command and run prevention are still the storyline
In the 2026 season, Kam Croghan made 23 appearances for Pepperdine and logged a 6.98 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP, 16 strikeouts, and only 5 walks in 19.1 innings, a mix that says there’s real arm talent but also volatile results[1]. At 6-foot-5, 190 pounds, the senior right-hander brings a projectable frame and enough strike-throwing to keep coaches interested, and he even earned a 1-0/1.67-inning scoreless win over Cal Poly in April 2026[1][2]. He looks like a fit for a staff willing to bet on upside and development, not a plug-and-play shutdown arm just yet[1][2].
