Spencer Stearns brings strikeout stuff and two-way versatility to SIUE
Stearns is a 6'2", 205-pound INF/RHP who already proved he can impact SIUE on the mound: in 2025 he was a Second Team All-OVC selection, logged 62 innings, struck out 62, and ranked second in the league in strikeouts per nine (9.58). [2] His calling card is swing-and-miss pitchability and competitive toughness, highlighted by a 12-strikeout career game and a strong return after a 2024 season cut short by injury. [2] For a team, he profiles as a gritty, multi-use piece with real arm talent and starter-level upside. [2][3]
