Freshman LB Evan Weinberg arrives as a rangy, productive edge-to-LB project for Cincinnati
In the 2026 season, Evan Weinberg is listed as a freshman linebacker for Cincinnati at 6-3 and 230 pounds, and his recruiting profile points to a disruptive, high-motor defender with edge-rush chops rather than a pure pile-plugger[1][2]. He was a three-star recruit and top-150 edge prospect, and his high school résumé included 78 tackles, 11.5 sacks, and an interception in his senior year, which suggests real backfield-playmaking juice[1]. There is no meaningful college stat line yet, so the appeal is projection: length, toughness, and versatility in a hybrid linebacker role[2][3].
