Northwestern’s Alex Grant: Big lefty frame, strikeout flashes, and late-inning trust
Alex Grant is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound left-hander whose 2025 freshman season showed real leverage value: he appeared in 10 games, recorded a scoreless debut, struck out five in 3.0 innings against Indiana, and picked up his first career save with 2.0 shutout innings versus The Citadel. In 2026, he continued to earn important innings, including a 3.2-inning outing with four strikeouts against Bradley and the final two outs in a comeback win over UIC. Why care? He has the size, relief swing-and-miss upside, and late-game composure teams love in a bullpen piece.
