Paige Lassiter brings verified two-way athleticism and high-end speed to UTEP’s outfield
Lassiter stands out as a multidimensional athlete with proven speed, competitive energy, and a strong softball base; UTEP lists her on the roster as an outfielder, while her prep profile shows she was also effective in the circle with 46 strikeouts and 5 wins across 36.2 innings in the 2020-21 season. She also carried top-tier track speed, ranked #2 in district and top 5 nationally in the 100m, which hints at range, closing speed, and game-changing athleticism that can translate well in the outfield. That blend of explosiveness and versatility makes her an intriguing fit for a team that values defense, pace, and upside.[1][4]
