In the 2025 season, Purdue’s John Randle Jr. appeared in two games and preserved his redshirt status in 2024, then remained a part-time OL piece with a 6-foot-4, 290-plus-pound frame that fits the trench grinder mold. He was a consensus three-star recruit and ESPN listed him as a top-50-ish state talent coming out of Horn Lake, which matches the profile of a developmental lineman with upside rather than instant stardom. The fit question is simple: if a staff wants a physical, still-developing tackle who can grow into a serviceable depth role, he’s interesting; if it wants a polished plug-and-play starter, patience is required.
