McNeese’s Demarco Owens: Proven size, pro polish, and a long track record
Demarco Owens is a 6-foot-9, 260-pound veteran big man whose game is built on rebounding, efficient interior finishing, and physicality—he shot 52% from the field and 74% at the line during his Moberly Area CC season before arriving at McNeese[1]. He also brings real experience, having helped Moberly finish 27-5 and rank 16th nationally in the NJCAA poll, which points to a winning-player profile more than a stat-chasing one[1]. The fit is best for a team needing a sturdy, no-frills frontcourt anchor who can clean the glass, hold up in the paint, and set a tough tone[1][4].
