Temple’s quick-hit slot weapon who turned volume into production
In the 2024 season at Temple, Dante Wright led the Owls with 61 receptions for 792 yards and 6 touchdowns, then carried that efficiency into a strong two-year Temple run of 100 catches for 1,299 yards and 10 scores in 20 games. He stands out as a twitchy, dependable target with slot versatility, after-the-catch juice, and punt-return value; the 5-foot-9, 180-pound playmaker also showed he can handle heavy target volume without disappearing. The downside is size and durability risk, but when healthy he looks like a plug-and-play separator rather than a pure jump-ball guy.
