Ivy Rookie Pitcher Who Snaps Princeton’s 14-Game Streak
Ellie Joseph, Yale’s 2026 first-year left-handed pitcher, is a high-intensity rookie who just earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week after striking out 16 in 17.1 innings—including a dominant 6-K performance against Princeton that ended their 14-game unbeaten streak and gave Yale its first home win over the Tigers since 2014. She led the team with 80 strikeouts in 102 innings (7-9 record, 3.84 ERA) and shows rare composure in pressure moments, like tossing back-to-back complete games. Though her win-loss reflects Yale’s overall team struggles, her intensity, lefty arm, and clutch mentality make her a standout differentiator. She’s a great fit for any team needing a reliable, battle-tested rookie pitcher with playoff-ready grit.
