Bernardini’s late-season surge gave St. John’s a real spark in 2026
Cristian Bernardini turned into a useful right-handed bat for St. John’s in the 2026 season, finishing with a .267 average, .708 OPS, 36 hits, 6 doubles, 4 home runs and 21 RBI in 135 at-bats, then added timely damage in the postseason as the Red Storm rode a championship run. His profile is built on extra-base pop, run production, and the versatility to handle both OF and C, which makes him more than just a box-score guy. For a team needing energy, punch, and a guy who can change a game with one swing, he fits the bill.
