Drey Carter’s two-way size gives Wright State a high-upside wing with room to grow
Drey Carter is a 6-foot-8 guard whose appeal is simple: rare size for the position, real rebounding/ball-movement upside, and the kind of matchup flexibility that coaches love. In the 2023-24 season, he appeared in all 32 games with 31 starts and averaged 4.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists, then followed with a bigger 2024-25 role at roughly 12.3 points per game in Wright State’s notes, showing clear development. He was named Horizon League Freshman of the Week in December 2023, and his game hints at a versatile, energetic contributor rather than a one-dimensional scorer.
