Dirk Johnson brings efficient paint work and physical rebounding to McMurry
In the 2025-26 season, McMurry forward Dirk Johnson has been a high-efficiency, low-usage frontcourt piece, averaging 4.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 13.3 minutes while shooting 57.7% from the field. He flashed his best trait in a February 2026 game with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting and 6 rebounds, showing he can punish gaps, finish around the rim, and stay active on the glass. At 6-6, he profiles as a tough, energy-forward who fits best with teams needing physicality, hustle, and reliable interior finishing rather than high-volume scoring.
