Ian May has become a trusted lefty for UCLA, then jumped to pro ball
In the 2026 season, Ian May was one of UCLA’s steadier bullpen arms, posting a 2.08 ERA with 47 strikeouts across 26 appearances, after logging 70.2 innings, eight wins, and a 4.97 ERA in his first Bruins season in 2025. He’s a 6-foot-2, 190-pound redshirt senior left-hander who brings experience, strike-throwing ability, and versatility after serving both as a starter and reliever. The big sell: he competes, eats innings, and can handle pressure. The caution flag: his 2025 starting work was uneven, so the fit is best for a team that values matchup flexibility and veteran mound grit.
