big-bodied rim protector with reliable interior production for UC Irvine
John Ryan offers classic frontcourt value as a 6-10 center/forward who brings size, rebounding, and dependable finishing around the basket. In his UC Irvine season, he played all 35 games and averaged 4.3 points and 3.8 rebounds, with a career-high 14-point outing that showed he can scale up when needed[5]. His differentiator is straightforward: he gives a team legitimate interior depth and physicality, but he is best viewed as a role-specific fit rather than a high-usage scorer[5].
