Wichita State catcher Dominic Archila brings left-handed bat, contact skill, and veteran experience
Dominic Archila enters Wichita State as a left-handed hitting catcher who has already shown usable college production and on-base ability, including a .274 average and .398 OBP in 32 games at Texas Tech in the 2024 season, while his 2026 D1Baseball line shows a .235 average with 5 RBIs through early play. His fit is appealing because he offers a compact, contact-oriented profile rather than pure power, and his past college experience suggests he can handle a role that values steadiness, game management, and offensive consistency from behind the plate.
