LY Forte brings speed, chaos, and timely punch to Gardner-Webb’s lineup
In the 2026 season, LY Forte has already shown she can change a game with her legs and bat: she scored on a wild sequence in the Big South tournament, delivered a first collegiate home run, and produced a 3-for-3, 2-RBI game against Western Carolina. A 5'7" right-handed utility player from Covington, Ga., she profiles as a versatile, high-energy roster piece who can create pressure on the bases and jump-start innings. If you want toughness, spark, and a player who seems to enjoy stirring the pot, she’s your kind of fit.
