Drue Saenz is giving USI a timely two-way jolt behind the plate
In the 2026 season, Drue Saenz has been a run-producing catcher for Southern Indiana, including a 4-for-5, three-RBI night against SEMO and multiple multi-hit, multi-RBI games that show real middle-of-the-order pop[2][3][6]. He entered 2026 after batting .296 with 33 RBI at Eastfield in 2025, and his transfer profile suggests an experienced, offensive-minded backstop with enough athleticism to chip in on the bases and in the field[1]. If a team wants a catcher who can handle pressure, drive the ball, and bring some swagger without being a one-trick pony, Saenz looks like a strong fit[1][2][6].
