Carter Kutz brings a live arm, but Nebraska’s ready-made impact is still in waiting
Kutz arrived at Nebraska as a high-upside two-way recruit with real arm strength, a fastball that sat in the upper 80s and touched 92 mph in prep scouting, plus a breaking ball that gave him a legit starter’s look in 2025. He was also praised for a repeatable delivery, aggressive competitiveness, and a polished bat, but he did not see game action in Lincoln and later entered the portal, so the upside is clearer than the college sample. If you like projection, strike-throwing, and multi-positional athleticism, he’s your kind of bet.
