Justin Lessing brings proven ace pedigree to UConn's mound
In the 2024 season at Middlebury, Justin Lessing was a true staff headliner: he led the NESCAC with a 1.99 ERA, three complete games, and 76 strikeouts, earning NESCAC Pitcher of the Year and D3Baseball.com Fourth Team All-American honors. He looks like a plug-and-play strike-thrower with real game management chops—clean arm action, repeatable delivery, and the kind of toughness that shows up in long outings. For UConn, he’s the kind of veteran transfer who can stabilize a weekend role and raise the floor of the staff.
