Owen Dease has become Valpo’s instant-offense forward
In the 2025-26 season, Owen Dease emerged as a high-usage scoring forward for Valparaiso, averaging 13.9 points and 27.4 minutes per game, with a strong 3-point touch that helped him post multiple big outings, including 28 points against Illinois State and 25 in a career-high showing vs. Murray State. He’s appealing if a team wants a stretch forward who can score quickly, punish closeouts, and bring veteran experience; the wrinkle is that he joined Valpo as a redshirt senior after transferring from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, so the fit is more polished plug-and-play than long-term project.
