VCU’s seasoned frontcourt glue guy with defensive grit
Corey Douglas Jr. brings veteran size, defensive presence, and steady frontcourt utility to VCU, where his value goes beyond box-score flash. At 6-foot-8, the Louisville native has long been viewed as a physical, high-motor role player who can absorb contact, defend multiple frontcourt spots, and bring older-player stability to a roster that has leaned on experience and toughness. He’s the kind of fit coaches trust: not a headline-chaser, but a rugged, dependable piece who can raise a team’s floor on the defensive end and in the locker room.
