Tate Gargasz is a young Broncos arm with upside and a redshirt runway
In the 2026 season, Tate Gargasz is a redshirt freshman right-handed pitcher for Santa Clara who brings projectable size, a clean developmental path, and a serious growth ceiling rather than gaudy volume stats yet. Santa Clara’s roster lists him at 6'1", 195 pounds, and Prep Baseball Report noted an 84.6 mph top fastball at a 2024 event, which points to a developing arm with room to climb as his body and stuff mature[1][2]. He redshirted his first season in 2025, so he remains more of a long-term fit than an immediate rotation plug-and-play[1].
