Bryce Burgess brings compact burst and proven efficiency to Troy’s backfield
Bryce Burgess is a 2026 junior running back at Troy who combines a low-center-of-gravity frame (5-7, 163) with proven production from Tyler JC, where he posted 589 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 118 carries in 2025 after 562 yards and 3 scores in 2024. He looks like a change-of-pace back with quickness, balance, and enough receiving ability to stay on the field, and Troy’s staff clearly values his productivity and toughness. The big question for any team: can his size translate against top-level SEC-style contact?
