Gavin Long brings senior savvy and timely contact to Utah Tech’s outfield
In the 2026 season, Utah Tech senior outfielder Gavin Long showed a contact-first profile with clutch moments, including RBI singles, a sacrifice bunt, and multiple multi-hit flashes in key games, while his 2025 season line was .190 with 4 runs and 1 double in 22 appearances and 14 starts. He’s not the loudest power bat, but he fits as a versatile, competitive glue guy who can keep innings alive, execute situational baseball, and give a lineup some grit. If your team values hustle, experience, and reliable at-bats over flash, Long is the kind of player coaches tend to trust.
