Explosive transfer back with big-play FCS juice
Deshaun Buchanan is a compact, twitchy New Mexico running back whose best calling card is big-play ability: at Idaho in 2024, he led the Vandals with 573 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, then brought that efficiency to UNM as a transfer. In 2025, his Lobos role was limited, but the tape and stat line point to a back who can hit creases fast, catch it cleanly, and add juice to a rotation rather than carry a workload solo. The fit question is simple: if you need burst, versatility, and a little low-key sizzle, he’s interesting.
