Clara Phariss gives IU Indy a proven innings-eater with swing-and-miss upside
Phariss is a durable, battle-tested right-hander who logged two full seasons in the circle for IU Indy, including 21 appearances and 14 starts in the 2026 season, and she can still flash real ace moments—like a nine-inning shutout with six strikeouts against Oakland in 2025. Her numbers have been uneven, with an 8.52 ERA in 2026 after a 5.66 ERA as a freshman, but the bigger story is volume, toughness, and trust: she keeps taking the ball against tough competition. If your staff needs someone who competes hard, absorbs innings, and has already shown shutout-level command when locked in, she’s worth a look.
