Sarah Campbell brings freshman poise and clutch catching to GCU
In 2026, freshman catcher Sarah Campbell appeared in 21 games and made 12 starts behind the plate for Grand Canyon, while also delivering an RBI single in the Mountain West title-game comeback win[2]. Her profile points to a player coaches can trust in pressure spots: she was named to preseason Freshman watch lists by Softball America and D1Softball, and her background includes a defensive-player-of-the-year honor and a long track record of offensive production in high school[2]. She looks like a strong fit for teams valuing defense, composure, and timely contact.
